You’re going to see your team play for the first time. YAY! You
want to show a way to support your team. What better way is there than to make
some personalized paracord
sports necklace to show your support for your team.
Paracord necklaces are very simple
and fun to make. And they look good as well.
The things you will need to make your necklace will be:
a)
Paracord as per your need
b)
A pair of scissors
c)
A lighter
Step 1: Measure Your
Neck
Take some piece of paracord and wrap around your neck to get
the measurements of your neck. Once you are satisfied with the length, mark the
cord. Make sure you leave some extra wiggle space.
For every inch measured for the necklace, you’ll need 41/2
inches of every color of paracord. Cut out the required paracord and use your
lighter to fuse the rope.
You are now all set
for the next step.
Step 2: Start Weaving
To make your paracord sports necklace, its time to start its
weaving. Take both ropes and fold them in half. Lay down the ropes on top of
each other. Start your weaving by passing one end of the under the other. Make
sure you pull the ropes nice and tight. Rule number one about weaving is always
to keep the weave tense and rigid.
You might find this step a little hard at first. However,
with a few extra tries, you will be able to master
the art of weaving. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll wiz away in no time. Continue
on weaving till you reach your desired length. Before you know it, you’ll get
there in no time.
Step 3: Finishing up
your Necklace
Here comes the tricky part. Pick up rope number 2 and make a
tight overhand loop. Cut the rope so you
fuse it with the lighter. You must be left with the ends of the first rope. Tie
and make an overhand loop with both ropes. Cut the extra strands, fuse the rope
ends and TADA! There you have it. Your very own personalized paracord sports
necklace.
If you wish to show your team spirit, even more, hang a pendant in your necklace
showing the flag of your favorite team, or a picture of your favorite player.
Nothing will show your team spirit more than this.
